FRP Composite Mini Crossover Platform
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Composite mini crossover ladders are designed to be corrosion resistant, slip resistant, lightweight, impact resistant, fire-retardant and non-conductive (both heat and electric). Composite crossover ladders are an alternative product to traditional material options such as heavy steel and stainless steel. Our crossover bridges aim to provide a readily available solution to address clearances for the walkover. Designed for easy installation and fabrication, these cross over platform ladders meet OSHA and ANSI requirements with durable construction and corrosion-resistant material.
Strong and Durable Pound for pound, fiberglass is stronger than steel. FRP material weighs in at one-third to one-half of its steel counterpart. The composite material is suited to all types of environment (salty, acidic or nuclear environment), which means these composite walkways and structures are highly valued in the industrial sector.

Our FRP Composite Mini Crossover Ladders are constructed using USA made, top quality pultruded material. Product will not corrode like steel or dent/ deform like aluminum, and requires minimal maintenance compared to conventional materials. The 70 degree climbing angle features steps on both sides for easy access. Available in 1 to 3 step models (10” to 30” platform height, in 10” increments).
Standard platform size is 24”W x 24.5”L. Other custom sizes available. Optional 36” handrails can be added on one or both ladder sides. Neoprene foot pads are standard, and brackets for permanent mounting are also available as an alternative. Bolted/ riveted and epoxied construction. Available fully assembled or knocked down as a kit for on-site assembly and reduced shipping costs.
**Features an optional spring caster system that allows the unit to function as a mobile step stand. The casters are spring loaded, and retract when weight is applied to the step stand.**

What exactly is "composite" material??
By definition, a “composite” is an engineering material consisting of 2 or more dissimilar components. These dissimilar components are usually classed as the matrix and the reinforcement. For our purposes, the matrix is epoxy plastic (or “polymer”) and the reinforcement used is textile grade glass (Fiberglass).
Fiber reinforced plastics, or FRP's are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries. They are found in ballistic armor as well. The usage of FRP composites continues to grow at an impressive rate as these materials are used more in their existing markets and become established in relatively new markets such as biomedical devices and civil structures.
